Note. If you uninstall any Add-Ons, it will still be in the about:config file. So you will have to search in there, and manually delete any appropriate entries there.
Backup your profile before tho. Just in case.

LH - ..........what is "about:config file"?...............do you mean MSCONFIG?
If so which TAB is the important one to open? E.G., SERVICES or STARTUP?

Nope. In the FF URL box, type in about:config then hit the search. You will see.

Lighthouse Now I see that I was probably the "carrier" of the ADD-ON - The very thing I was trying to remove - the article you led me to was good.

Adobe has an official "Uninstaller" for its Flash Player, which you can download here:

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-p.....ndows.html

Download the small uninstaller program - preferably right to your desktop.

Close ALL browsers and any other running programs which might use Flash.

Run the uninstaller - it's simple and quick.

Once the uninstallation process has completed, reboot your computer.

Go back to the link above, and click on step 4 -"Verify that uninstallation is complete."

You should receive a message that Flash is not installed on your computer.

You can now go back to the adobe website and download a fresh copy if the installer for the latest version of Flash.

Make sure all your browsers are closed before you run the installation.

After the fresh installation - go back one more time and verify that the latest version of Flash is running on your computer.

Hope this helps.

deGenova, don't worry about that warning, it's just saying be careful, so you can proceed!

LOL. That is just FF telling you to be careful. Don't worry about it. As long as you back up your profile 1st, then not a prob if you make a mistake.
