My neice and I won a contest and got to go to California to participate in a concert. The concert was filmed but will now only be shown online. I would purchase a copy but they are not for sale. I dont want to make millions of copies. I just want to preserve this memory. Is it possible to copy something being shown online? Can a normal person do this?

This isn't really our specialty here, but there are some websites that allow you to save videos off other sites... and a lot of applications that let you do it too.

I don't know of any because I've never tried to do this myself. anybody else?

How about using a Screen capture utility which records everything in a certain selected area on your screen. I have also never tried doing this but some of my friends swear by it.

Since not a single such freeware utility comes to mind. A simple search on google for such applications should list some that you can use.
