I was looking at a few topics on the forum and ran across something I found to be nonsensical.
-- A user was asking for help on a certain topic.
[So far, nothing out of the ordinary.]
-- The user had a different issue that interefered with the first.
[A bad situation, but still normal.]
-- Somewhere along the line, the user made a post attempting to combine the two issues. The lack of an exact timestamp makes this hard to determine the chronological order. It was assumed this was later, as the poster was told to be patient.
[Not the best way to use a forum, but no major harm.]
-- User offers solution to problem blocking the original problem. No reply from original poster.
[A reply stating the solution was good (or bad) would have been nice, but most are guilty of not replying at least once.]
-- User continues to try to help the poster on the (assumed) original posts.
[Still a fairly normal process, even with the impatient post.]
-- Seems to be some confusion about the situation and how it came about.
[Nothing out of the ordinary. It often takes multiple posts to get the entire picture.]
-- Original poster gives a smart remark. (Not to mention giving incorrect information.)
[This is where everything starts going downhill. The remark wasn't to a post that could have been interpreted as smart, demeaning, hurtful, etc. It was uncalled for.]
-- Other user laughs off the situaion and further explains the additional information he/she needs.
[An attempt to move the conversation back on track.]
-- Original poster does not answer the additional questions, gets angry and seems to leave.
[This is the solution to an event that became pointless because of this.]
---
The user seemed to want help, but also felt he/she knew enough about the topic to decide what information was relevant.
Why is it when people are given the permission to post on just about anything on the internet, stuff like this happens? [Though I must say, this is microscopic in comparison to people "fighting" over comments posts.
---
I just found this to be funny. What is everyone's take on it? Anyone else seen anything like this?
