i dont know if this is stupid or if it can be done, but i get a list a list of acc numbers in excel which i am to check with a database of these accounts, also in excel, now is there a way to compare the list of acc numbers from the list to the excel database to see if the acc exsists within the data base?

because wat i am doing now is selecting the cell with account no. from the list, copy to clipboard, ctrl F in the database paste and seach, this takes forever in there is like 409 account numbers to check if they exsist is the database or now..

it might be a long shot, but please guys, is there an easier way? im not the excel pro....

edit: sorry guys, i found it here

snugglez64,

Excel is such a complex and useful program that I would strongly suggest you invest in a $30 - $40 book concerning the Program. Be sure the book includes subject matter on Macros and Visual Basic. If you read the book and use the program often, you will be amazed at what can be done in Excel.

Heavy Duty Studying is only way I know of to master Excel.

Regards,

Rick P.
