CMOS Memory

I purchased a surplussed PC and the CMOS memory is Password Protected. This is a Dell PC. How can I remove this protection so I cptions like Plug n play feature of the motherboard. This system did not have an OS But I have installed XP .

How did you manage to install XP, if you could not get past the BIOS (CMOS) password?

I booted from CD. I have pressed the ESC key but that does not allow me to change anything in the cmos memory.
