I think we should start spreading a positive meaning/usage of the name geek. Most people use geek as a derogitory name for someone who is a computer nerd or spends a lot of time on a computer or even playing games, but I think that we should make people realize that being a geek isnt a bad thing because without geeks the world would crash and burn up in a giant galactic fireball (slight over-exageration). I think people should hail geeks as the backbone of the world, the ones who make everything happen, kind of like small unseen heroes.

Yeah, like everyone loves little furry animals. Until they bite you, and you contract rabies

i don't think that people just think that a geek is someone who never goes outside and does things and is on a computer 24/7 pretty much but i don't think that they think that they are a bad thing and don't like them.and look at me i'm a geek and a almost pro skateboarder.

Just make sure all the body parts stay where they belong. I wanted to do roller blading (I used to be a good roller skater 55 years ago), but the wife said NO WAY!

I would think the image of a 'geek' might change if there were more female geeks.Percentage wise, there seems to be many more men than women who could claim the title! There are ladies on th HTG website but are there any true female geeks here?
