changing from XP to VISTA

I have a Presario S3100NX with preinstalled os XP
If I wanted to change to VISTA how could it be done?

easy, buy Vista and install it. How much RAM do you have. You need 2GB for Premium and higher.

carpentersgirl, I looked up the specs on the Presario S3100NX, and I gather this is a pretty old system. I would advise you to read about the requirements for Vista and download and run the Vista Upgrade Advisor from Microsoft:

According to the HP/Compaq website, this system can only have 1 GB of memory max. I gather you already know that the integrated graphics chip is lacking, based on your other thread. I'm afraid that you might not have a good experience with Vista on this Presario due to it's age.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you wish to upgrade to Vista?

thanks to all. just as I thought myself. wanted to confirm my own thoughts. Not necessarily wanting to change up etc... just curious
