changed to firefox and clicking sound on hard drive is gone

wit IE7 vista home basic and a dell PC desk top inspiron 531 I was getting a clicking sound from my hard drive every time I clicked on the mouse to change a site or anything , now after I installed fire fox the clicking is gone and the fire fox is much faster than using IE7 . just curious as to the clicking sound?

In the soundpanel there is a sound set for navigation, so when you use IE that sound is played (over and over again).
You can disable it, here are instructions: disable click sounds.
But using Firefox is a way better option anyway ;)))

rhondas, are you sure the clicking sound comes from the hard drive and not the speaker?

Also in Internet Explorer, Options, Advanced, Accessibility, check or uncheck as required;
