Change microsoft account in win 8

I've messed up & have a non MS email address appearing in my Win 8 signon screen. I don't know what the password is either & I'm prevented from making any changes without knowing this password? This has prevented me from linking my People, mail, & other tiles on my Win 8 Home Page. I've since created an Hotmail account. How can I change this MS account to my recently created Hotmail account? Thanks,Ron.

Are you familiar with the Desktop and Built-in Administrator Account ??

I did not understand you what you are trying to say. You may try to reset your password on the acc. Or you can make another user ...

Sorry, It's my Microsoft Account that's messed up.I'm unable to change it & I don't have the password for it.

Do this to activate the Built-in Administrator Account.

LEAVE PASSWORD BLANK !!

Reboot the computer, dismiss the Lock Screen and Log in as The Built-in Administrator.

Post back when you have done this.

I don't think OP means the log in. Just getting into his hotmail.

Needs to remove the accidently created wrong [ Messed up ] account I think ??

This will become interesting as new folks start coming to the forum with NO knowledge of Windows 7 or the Desktop.
