Change Home Computer for iPad--OS X

I just got a MacBook Pro and I would like to make it my "home" computer for my iPad which was activated through my desktop iMac. According to Apple online help, when I plug in my iPad into the new laptop, a window should open warning me that this is not my home computer and give me the option to sync to this one, overwriting whats on the iPad, making the laptop the new home.

When i plug my iPad into the new MacBook, the iPad beeps that the link was made, however, nothing shows on the MacBook--desktop or iTunes.

The MacBook was setup using the TimeMachine from my desktop. iPad still syncs with the old desktop okay. Both systems are on the latest Snow Leopard.

Any suggestions?

Hi anton9943, welcome to HTG. Are you using the latest version of iTunes on the MacBook pro?
If not, consider upgrading to the latest release,and try again...

I'd suggest that you post your problem here as well...
Meanwhile, HTG members will also try to diagnose the problem...
