I have wanted to move away from Earthlink for as long as I can remember (15 plus years). Today just enforces that need. Email outage in my area allday. I use my Earthlink email for business and personal. Everything on marketing is Earthlink. I have dropped down to email only with Earthlink as I have ATT uverse for the router and wireless connection in the house. Do I need a POP and SMTPAUTH in order to use and receive Yahoo or Gmail email in Outlook? I have both. I had intended on using the Earthlink for a few months and start transferring over but I do not know how.
Your thoughts would be helpful getting me to jump a new direction.

Yahoo mail does not allow POP unless you have the paid Yahoo+. Gmail can be done through POP no problem.
