CD-RWs

I have an Emachine that says on the front in will use CD-RWs.It uses Phillips cds fine but wont use Memorex CD-RWs.Anything I can do?Thanks

@whs: The -RW or +RW only applies to DVDs. CDs only have CD-RW and CD-R for writing.

@treasurehunter56: What do you mean by "wont use Memorex CD-RWs"? Does the computer see the disc at all when you put it in the computer?

@Jd, Right, where was I? Probably asleep at the wheel! lol

@treasurehunter: Memorex, TDK, Tesco, and Maxell incorporate SCMS (Serial Copy Management System), which limits reproduction to one digital copy. This contains an application code bit that the recorder must read before it can record. Your optical reader probably does not use this SCMS technology. This is a common problem with many readers. I had the same using Office Depot CD's - but who knows where office Depot gets them from.
