I have tried to download .pdf, .xls, and other files from my gmail inbox in the last couple of months and the download does not work. They always seem to always have a very long name - looks like a website address rather then the actual a filename. This has also happened on a website (citrix) where I have tried to download the software but i cannot save the file. I have tried selecting save as and changing the name to include the proper extension at the end (i.e. .pdf or .xls) and this does not do the trick. please help.

Thanks,
G.

Try removing and reinstalling your .pdf reader.

Not sure if that would solve since it appears to be most file types that are not working and not just the pdf files

Post a link to what you want to download.

We'll have a go at it with another machine. :)

What do you mean by trying to download from your GMail Inbox? Do you not go directly to the site. I just downloaded from citrix.com without problem. What browser are you using?
