Got to be honest it's been a long time since I played (or tried to play) a DVD on my laptop so can't really say when this problem originated.

All I really know is that at one time it wasn't a problem.

Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card.

As far as my laptop is concerned all drivers are up to date and working correctly ...

I've read quite a few posts on the internet but nothing seems to reflect my particular problem

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1721, with Home Premium.

I am on SP1 and all Updates have been installed.

Any help greatly appreciated .....
