Hi,

I was trying to open a picture or file but it keep popping a window which is File Conversion either Window (default) MS-QOS or Other encoding. I checked the Advanced section of Word Option and ensure the Confirm file format conversion is unchecked and it is.

Can you please help me to fix this File Conversion pop-up?

MS-Word 2007

Thanks,
netchie

You listed MS-Word 2007. Are you trying to import a jpeg into your Word Document or just open the file on your PC for viewing? If its just to view on your PC, right click on the photo and choose "open with" and i use the basic "Windows Photo Viewer" that comes with Windows. If you're trying to import it into Word 2007, at the top of the ribbon choose the "Insert" tab and then click on picture. It should open up a small browser that lets you choose the location of the image you'd like to import into Word.

Once you use Open with and select the Viewing program you would like make sure the item that says something like "Always use this program when opening this type of file" is checked.
