Hi.
Previously, I can install XP on Vista installed first with ease. Last week, I reformatted my hard disk drive to refresh the installation of my computer's operating system. I successfully installed Vista on my computer but when I installed XP, and rebooted to proceed to the final installation (the Exciting New Look interface), my computer booted abnormally. It says:
Error... can't load operating system (or whatsoever as I cannot completely remember)
As a precaution, I reset my computer and as expected, it rebooted that way again. Then, my only chance is to boot Vista and remove the XP cd. As the computer rebooted, the error message still appeared.
I tried to repair Windows Vista using the repair utility in the installation dvd. Then nothing happened using startup repair, system restore (no restore points appeared), etc...
The last hope remaining is to reinstall Vista again. And it installed successfully.
The problem is, what should I do with this problem. I need an XP operating system together with Windows Vista. My scanner and web cam are not compatible on Vista.
