Can't install Windows 8, why?

Hello guys,

I'm not able to install Windows 8 on my laptop. I've put an .iso file on a dvd and an usb but still no success. I have tried two different methods to install:
- Restart my laptop and try to boot it with BIOS
- Double clicking the .exe from my desktop.

With both methods I get a different error.

Does anybody get any idea why this happens?

Have you burnt the iso with an image burner to dvd like this one?...set it to burn at 4x: http://fileforum.betanews.com/.....28426215/1

Yes I've done it exactly like that, with the same software. At first I thought that the .iso was damaged so I downloaded another one, but still the same problem.

In the first case it looks like you are trying to upgrade a 64-bit system with a 32-bit disk.

In the second case it looks like you are trying to do a clean install with an Upgrade disk.

That would be my interpretation. Where did you get the disk?

Agree with Xhi, use method where you got error 1 and try install as 64 bit.

I downloaded an image from the internet, that contains an .iso for Windows 8. If that is what you mean.

Perhaps you downloaded the wrong one to match your computer and situation.

I'm pretty sure I downloaded the correct one. It's the one that says x86, right?

That can't be it. My laptop is definitely a 64-bit.

Then according to error 1, as Xhi said you are using the 32 bit disk.
