Restart your PC and then delete them immediately. If this does not work, delete them in safe mode.

Instead, download and install http://www.techspot.com/downlo.....ocker.html Unlocker Assistant. This will automatically fire-up when some file is locked up and shows a list of processes that is holding it down. U get the option of killing those processes to delete the file, rename the file, move etc. Pretty nifty tool.

If the file has been downloaded illegally, it may have a name with illegal characters in it.
Windows cannot delete or rename these files. If unlocker does not work, try FreeCommander
http://www.freecommander.com/
Rename the file and then delete it from within this program

if you have p2p'd these files also make sure your p2p program isn't sharing with someone else if so terminate the D/L then try deleting the files.

someone might be trying to download it from you.
