Hi

I am facing some trouble with my Vista Internet connection. I have a Toshiba satellite laptop with a dual boot. One partition for Windows Vista and the other one for Linux Ububuntu. With Linux I can surf the net easily. However with my Vista I can no longer browse the internet even though I'm connected. I can use skype under vista but Mozilla and Internet Explorer wont let me browse any website. I have tried the following:
ipconfig/flushdns
net stop dnscache
net start dnscache
restarted dns service
netsh winsock reset

I disabled my firewall and vista firewall
Cleared the cache
No proxy in my browsers
I scanned my computer with free version of AVG 8.0 it found 6 viruses I removed them.
Still cant browse the Internet.
Could anyone help me fix this issue I appreciate any help.
Thanks a lot

To help fix your problem I need the following information:
1. What type of internet connection do you have?
Like Dial-Up, Cable, FiOS, Satalite, 3G Cell Phone Network, etc.
2. What service provider do you have?
Like NetZero, Verizon, Dish Network, Comcast, Sprint, etc.
3. What is your full laptop model number?
Like Toshiba Satellite A25-S2792 or Toshiba Satellite A65-S1361, etc.

Hi

Thank you for your prompt answer. Here are the information you asked:
1. DSL connection
2. ACANAC Internet Service Provider
3. Toshiba Satellite A200 PSAE3C-16V08C

Remember I have no trouble connecting the Internet using LInux Ubuntu system.
