Cant boot from DVD or USB after installing Win 8 RP

I have run accross a problem when I want to install Linux Mint as dual-boot with Win 8 on my laptop, but I cant seem to be able to boot with DVD or USB. I have set it in BIOS to boot from DVD or USB before HDD but nothing happens, it just goes straight to Win 8 loading screen. And yes, the image is bootable, copied it to the USB with UNetbootin. And the ISO is fine, checked it in VirtualBox and it was running and installing just fine. The drivers seem to be up-to-date and USB sticks are working properly within Win 8, aswell as DVDs.

I was able to boot with DVD before on Win 7 and everything. So is there something that is preventing the boot from other devices on WIn 8 that I do not know of? Or is there something wrong with my laptop or maybe with me?

There is an option in the Control Panel somewhere about the Bootloader. Let me just find it later as I'm currently rebooting a Windows 8 VM in VirtualBox.
