Canon MP495 Printer settings/properties error?

Sorry for duplicate thread as I could not reply to existing thread:

Whenever I click on printer properties/settings before clicling on print i get a windows error message then it freezes:

'function address 0x6ec9780c caused a protection fault. (exception code 0xc0000005) The application property sheet page(s) may not function properly'

I tried uninstalling the printer drivers and reinstall the latest ones but still get the same error message?

What to do now?

Can you print from notepad or office ?

i can do a direct print by pressing the print button but cant access the printer properties/settings.

Try Control Panel, devices & printers, double click the canon and you should get below;

yeah i can access the properties through that method but if i access it via a application like ms word or adobe reader then i get the problem. Please advise.

Do you not see this when you go to print? Printer properties?
