I am running QuickTime 7.6 in windows 7. I have tried to update it but it fails with an error message : "Error getting file security: C:\Program
Data\Apple Computer\Installer Cache\QuickTime 7.60.92.0\GetLastError: 5" every time and reverts back to the installed version. This also causes the
iTunes update to fail when it gets to the QuickTime portion. I tried to uninstall it but get the same error. I then tried to uninstall it in Safe Mode but, since this requires the Windows Installer, it won't run in Safe Mode. Is there some way to get around this?
