cannot launch outlook 2007...help

every time i try to load outlook2007, the hr glass just keeps turning.
i am using windows xp sp3... this just happened the other day..on the right hand side in the task area there were 2 tasks..now it just seems to be trying to open them up???..any suggestions on how i may remedy this

If it's trying to load two instances of Outlook at the same time that will give you problems. Give this a quick try. Go to Start...Run, then type in msconfig. Select the Start-up tab and see if outlook.exe is listed more than once. If it is, uncheck one of them and restart you system and see how it goes.

nothing is there for outlook...
i set to normal startup and still no luck..
it now loads to do you want outlook to be your default email now?..wont go any further and cannot select anything as hr glass just spins every so often..
i have to keep trying to get out by using ctrl,alt delete...
any other ideas?

You can try to repair if you still have your '07 disk. Just make sure all instances of Outlook are closed.

i have tried repair and when i do that it has windows bootstrapper error.
tried from the hard drive and from the disk..
i have ownloaded all security updates as well..

i just ran regseeker and cleared over 2500 invalid entries...
is there anyway of turning off the calendar in outlook? so when it loads the calendar will not.. i think the problem lies in this as there seems to be 2 entries for each and then outlook continues to spin in circles.
