cannot enable internet gateway connection

i need to enable xp--internet gateway connection---does not allow me to enable

can u help med

What doesn't allow you? What errors were reported? What is the computer configurations? What have you tried?

More info would help here.

I assume THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT TO DO and have tried?

it says---disconnected----i want to connect---when i click on enable---it will not do it

i have 2 pc's----my other one is enabled---but my laptop( xp pro)---wont do it

Need more info... wired? Direct between 2 machines? Which on has the Internet connection? When you look at the device in Device Manager, what is it showing?

At a command prompt on both machines enter IPCONFIG /ALL and post results here.
