(Solved) - Cannot download Java. Help

I get error message C:\Users\?\Appdata\Roaming\Sun\Java\jre1.7.0_07\java_sp.dll is corrupt.

I havent got Java installed on my Windows vista e520 so i cant reinstall it.

I solved it by going to the Download file, then properties then compatiblity then windows 95.

I registered just to post here. Thank you, emirp, because you helped me solve something that has kept me in agony for a good week without any clear answer. My Sony Laptop had been receiving the same error, and once I installed it with compatibility for Windows XP, it worked! I actually picked XP by accident, but since it was successful I suggest trying that (future readers) if Windows 95 compatibility doesn't work.

How do you not have Java installed if you already use it for games ?
