Can Windows7 be installed with Windows XP
(4 posts)yes no problem.
It would have been helpful if you could say what system you have. i.e. HD size, any partition etc...
anyway If you have a HD say about 100GB and not partition I would recomend, look for some tool to resize your drive and make partition of Atleast 20GB and install windows 7 on it.
Say you have Xp on Drive C: then install win7 on D:
Select clean install and point it to Drive D:
Windows 7 would make it dual boot it self...
You would have option of
Windows 7
Earlier Version of windows (XP in your case)
Hope this help...
IT doesn't help!! I've got the same problem, and upon re-boot---WIndows 7 gives "error" stating it can't find a file "Winload.exe".
Well--the reason it can't is because THAT file is a VISTA file... NOW--what do you recoommend!!??
I've posted this ON several sites------------ SOME one out here has to know, how to do this.
