Can it be possible to install xp on another hdd, but same pc?

i have two hdd's and want to install xp on a wd 80gig that i just bought for xp.
i already have a dual boot but almost out of space. just want to use the 80gig hdd.
would it be possible to do so?
just need a simple answer can it be possible. i know this sounds like a noob question.

But if you want to boot from the other HDD, you have to change the drive in the BIOS.

how would i have to change the drive in the bios?

On the first boot screen it tells you how you get into the BIOS - it is usually F2 or ESC. You tap that and the BIOS screen comes up. Here you can only operate with the up/down keys and ENTER (no cursor). You navigate to your disk from where you want to boot, hit Enter. Then it gives you only 10 seconds to hit any key for confirmation - else it will boot as usual. It's real easy. Once you have done it, it's a piece of cake.

Assuming the boot menus get set up right you don't need to change the boot drive in the BIOS.

jd, I think the poster wanted to avoid a complicated installation and run into the troubles that everybody else seems to have. I thought the BIOS way is the simplest. But maybe you can explain to him what you consider a boot menue being set up the right way.

I mean like having a boot loader on the first hard drive that shows a menu listing Vista on the first hard drive and XP on the second as options.
