Cache poisoning attack

I was on the internet and received this notification "DNS Cache poisoning attack" with an IP address under it. It is starting to become an a problem. Is there a way that I can stop the attack? Or prevent it from happening again?

good read here too. they suggest running malwarebytes & superantispyware . further down in the post is a way to flush the dns cache also . \
