"You do not have permission to access this folder"

its clearly the default windows sharing feature kicking in,,,, so is there a way to bypass this ?

Is the folder on your computer, or the network? Do you have Administrator rights?

Well then I think the first step would be to get yourself some work clothes and a fake work order. Pose as an air conditioning repairman. Smile sweetly at the IT secretary and make up a good story about an emergency problem in the computer room. Studying several back seasons of Burn Notice would probably help.

Breaking into the company computer is one of those things that this site does not help folks with. If it were your own computer we could be more helpful.

Ok thanks !

I fully understand and obv. would have my suspicions if someone asked such a question!

One more thing

Do you think it is ACTUALLY possible?

Things are always possible, although it would be considered hacking which we do not do here.

If this was on your school network, I can't see how admin gave you that permission to mess mess with the academic network.

Maybe the company just wants to test their internet security. With their own IT. personell. Cheap test for them.

Dan, email me your course tutor's (admin) email address so I can confirm the project as legitimate.

If there is confirmation then the project can go ahead and the mission might be accomplished
