This will be the first computer I've ever built, so I wanted to keep the parts as cheap as possible in case I break anything.
I'm looking for it to function as a PC to record TV as well as to store my DVDs and music. Ideally I would like it to run Ubuntu
but I'm willing to install Windows if necessary.

Here is my list of parts:

Case: Case

Motherboard and CPU: Motherboard
Memory: Memory
Hard Drive: HDD
Optical Drive: DVD Burner
Video Card: Video Card
Fan/Heatsink: Fan

Is there anything I'm overlooking or forgetting?
