broadband in ubuntu??

could anyone plz tell me the way to connect to internet in ubuntu 7.10...i'm running it under vista home prem..using vmware player??guys plz help me..and also suggest some good blogs to learn about ubuntu..

Best website for information on Ubuntu is http://www.ubuntu.com/support. You can't go wrong there. I don't use VMWare so I can't help you with that though.

i would think that if you are connected in vista then you should be in ubuntu. and the best way to learn about ubuntu is just play around with it and just get used to it. it's not much different once you get used to it and it's really easy to use :D

hmmmm....well i've never used vmware but is there a setting to virtualize you network port? i would check to see if that might be your issue and does it show that you have a network connection or no.
