When ever I see a pop up regarding an old link (Excel) I try to "break" the link hoping to never see it again. But it often/never seems to work. I see the pop up when I next open the file.

How to for sure delete an old link.

Thanks sixcard

Depending on what version you have

This should work for Office 2003

Select Tools, Options, Edit

De-select "Ask to Update Automatic Links"

This should allow the workbook to open without asking you that "Annoying" question.
