Bootmgr is missing?

I'm sure you guys have helped with this issue a thousand times before but I'm on a phone and using this site isn't too clever as my phone is slow.

However, I recently attempted to start my computer up and it came up with 'bootmgr missing, CTRL + ALT + DLT to restart.
I looked on the guide to use a windows disc and to use the repair option on installation to hitch I followed the guide. It could not fix the fault so I tried again with the command prompt option to which it did nothing at all, is there anything else I can do. (Simple terms please)

Could you post the make and model of your machine and confirm it is Vista OS, this will help our members to assist you
