ihave windows running on my pc and i want to add linux . i want to boot my pc to cmd prompt so that i creat a dual boot.how do i boot my pc to the cmd prompt

Edited: Removed post after seeing forum was Linux not Suggestions. Either the topic magically moved or I messed up when looking at it.
