At first I thought this was going to be an easy chore, because I had a link to "Reference Links", but it was dead. So then I started going through my bookmarks, and before I knew it I was hooked.

Now if anyone wants to find fault with these, that will be easy to do.

I haven't organized these alphabetically, and there may be some duplicates, especially in the categories. However, I DID check each link, and they are all active.

As best I could determine, all the links are malware free.

I tried to filter everything through a reference perspective, only choosing those sites that had some kind of a reference angle. Nevertheless, I may have included some sites that don't exactly fit that category.

There are a lot of other sites for some of these categories, and what I chose may not be the best.

Bob, thanks for sharing. I notice the URL in #2 is a dup of #1. Also, #26 seems to be what was intended in #2. Hope you are not suffering from #4. :)

ScottW,

Yes, good pickup . . . #1 and #2 are indeed dupes, and #26 S/B #2. As I said, "there may be some duplicates" because I knew I was bleary eyed by the time I finished this . . . all it needed was a fresh pair of eyes.

And NO, I'm not suffering from #4 (yet, anyway), but my wife was diagnosed with it over a year ago (which is why I have it in my bookmarks, and have a lot more Alzheimer's sites in there too).

i opened a guestbook (a-free-guestbook) and put all the links and programs i find on it. i tried to use yahoo or gmail but the list grew too large. i delete comments from people unless they're telling me about a bad link or download. i would put the link in, but when i opened it up i didn't think anyone would use it. the name isn't appropriate. delete it if you want:

sorry bob, i was rambling. sometimes i confuse myself after i've read my posts a day or so later. the link is to a guestbook i opened where i save all my links like you posted above. i had too many to keep on my igoogle and my yahoo start pages. it's kind of a reference page i keep for programs or information helpful to me. feel free to add a link to it for anything helpful.
i've had the guestbook for several years and couldn't find a use for it.

am i still rambling incoherently?

Oz, this is a nice list. Only problem: I cannot read it. The background does not help. I'll ask my seeing eye dog to interpret - LOL.

Hi Scott

I take it your post is relating to the post and Link I made about Microsoft Fix It Solution Centre which I thought might be of some help.
But it was nothing to do with Paul's post that was in your Link
Unless I've misunderstood your post above

Thanks

jal

Sorry for the cryptic post. I just thought it interesting that one of the Fix-it leaders came to join HTG the week they went live.

Hi Scott

No problem

I can see now why you were suspicious when I posted the Link as you do have to watch members don't join just to promote their own forums.
Also I was toying with the idea whether or not to post this link also.

http://www.driverpacks.net/DriverPacks/

Which I have already posted on these forums to help a member with his Driver problems.

Thanks

jal

Don't get me wrong, I think the whole Fix-it concept is great, if not overdue.
I recommend subscribing to the blog so you know what new issues they've solved.
