Bluetooth no longer works on desktop computer

For over a year now I have been using a bluetooth mouse without any problems. I've used other devices as well. Now my Bluetooth on the desktop computer no longer can detect devices. I have used restore defaults on the BT UI and does work. If I plug in a BT dongle into a USB port it does install the drivers. If I turn of BT discoverability on the UI, I get an error.

Any ideas to fix this problem?

flyboyont hi. Check that BT is enabled in the BIOS.

I don't have BT in the bios. I use a BT USB dongle.

Did you even check the BIOS ?
Anyways, try re-installing the driver. Get a new one from your dongle site.

Yes I did check the bios. I will check for driver on the manufacturer site.

If you turn it off you won't be able to use the mouse, that's why you get an error.

Sory my mistake. It should have been.

If I click on discoverability and apply or OK in the UI, I get the following error

An error occurred while Windows was saving your settings. The following settings were not saved:

Discoverability settings
Connection settings
