Does anyone know if a Blu-ray / VHS combo player exists?
I have a DVD / VHS combo player, but would like to get a Blu-ray player, and it would be nice to be able to do all major formats (though VHS is now dead, I have older videos that are VHS).

[ What would be really nice is a Blu-ray/HD-DVD/DVD / VHS combo, but I don't have any HD-DVD movies, so that would only be nice to buy the remaining HD-DVDs for a few dollars at some website closeouts that still have videos. ]

jmcguire, you should also pick up a SACD/DVD-A/8-track combo player at the same time. Can you say "incongruous" boys and girls? Oh...well at least you tried! :-P

What about putting your VHS tapes on DVD? I have done this with the video capture card in my old PC. It's not as if there is a lot of quality to lose.

I will take that as a no on the existence of a Blu-ray / VHS player.

I am not against putting my VHS tapes on DVD, and the DVD would keep longer.

I may check into doing this, as I am sure there are numerous ways of achieving it.
