When i load up Windows Vista from turn-on, the colors are bland, bright and without contrast, and that includes any programs i run, internet explorer, etc. If i put the system in sleep mode, even for a second, switch back on, the colors are full and the contrast seems fine. I don't think this is a monitor problem as i have tried changing the color settings, contrast, brightness and it does not correct the problem. I also tried color management but that isn't the problem either. I don't really want to put Windows in sleep mode everytime i turn-on. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks.

Bland color in Windows Vista
(2 posts)I have been trying various settings with the monitor and Windows Vista and i think it maybe a monitor problem. I am using a Dell 1707FP monitor. As the colors only have more contrast when coming out of sleep mode, i'm assuming it might be something to do with the monitor power settings, although there is no option to change the monitors power mode in the monitors options menu. Does anyone else have this model of monitor and know of this problem?
