Best way to run CHKDSK in Windows 8?

what about chkdsk /spotfix?

how long should chkdsk /r take on a 750gb hard drive?

that version 4 of partition wizard.. how long using that?

1) Never used it
2) A long time
3) 4.0, a year or 2

update:

i did the chkdsk /r as system restore told me to. I waited long for chkdsk /r to complete but finally it completed with the help of patience.

I ran system restore and i still get the same error message error code 0x81000204. What the hell? I feel like i wasted my time with chkdsk /r. Why Windows 8 mislead me?

that just explains new features to chkdsk utility in windows 8. I still got the problem with system restore
