dmcgraw, if you remove the current drive's partition then establish a new partition, you will for all intense have wiped the drive from the HDD. Now you can start from scratch with a clean drive. Just be careful which partition you remove from the HDD. You don't need a special program to accomplish this.

after reformatting and reinstalling XP ive always had to search for extra drivers. found this program which had a free trail and worked for me
