I am shopping for good, reliable DVD-Double Layer disks...I read all sorts of reviews and can't seem to find a brand that produces consistent results...Folks say Verbatim used to be good but now is crummy...Ridata is the best...Memorex stinks...Etc...Could I have a few opinions from folks who know what they are talking about?...How To Geeks has never failed to give me good advice...Thanks...

I don't think there is a perfect answer. Some disks work better with certain drives. So if you post the make and model of your drive, we can start there.

Verbatim DVD+R DL

Verbatim DVD+R DL discs burn up to 6X speed with compatible high speed DVD+R DL drives. Saving you about 20 minutes per burn .

Here is some info,

I use Verbatim DVD's and Sony CD's. I have not yet come across a computer or standalone player that could not read them.

LG ones work pretty well for me, never had a problem. only 1 disk out of a pack of 50 was damaged/not usable, but otherwise they are good.
