Hi all...
I just installed VMware workstation and run Backtrack 3 as a linux virtual machine.
My problem is loading the linux operating system up with "other linux 2.6.x kernell" as a setting, and starting the backtrack 3 virtual machine, everything is fine up to this point.
Once in Backtrack 3, when i run wireless assistant it comes up with

Error- wireless assistant
No usable wireless devices found.
wireless assistant will now quit.

Also when in the shell-konsole when typing at bt - # "airomn-ng" there is no:

Interface Chipset Driver

that comoes up at all. so from here on there is no progress to wep penetration and i can not get past this point.

hope i have explained clearly and someone can help me????? thank you

i think this may be because when you have it on a virtual machine it doesn't show the networking drivers and such. i haven't really used vm's that much but that is how i understand it and you just get your internet connection from the curently running os if it has one.
