OK
Now I'm on a high with successfully cleaning-up my laptop
And have been religiously coping my files to backup disc every month ( thanks to ScottW help sometime ago)

My question is - if I need to used my back-up disc or disc's do I simply put the disc's into laptop starting with no.1 and just sit back and wait or is it more complicated than this!

It's just something that has been needling me for sometime and I thought just bite the bullet and ask :)

What system/program are you using to make your backups ?

I'm not sure what you mean by System/program
Windows reminds me that a back-up is needed and it is saves files to dvd RW drive (F)
My laptop is a Home Premium.

Is this what you need LH ?

OK. I just got my spade out and dug up that old thread where ScottW advised you.
To restore your backups, you just open the Backup and Restore Center, and do it from there.

May I make you aware of my observation that the Vista Backup/Restore Center is not very reliable. And backing up to CD/DVD is very messy. There are easier, more reliable and much more comfortable ways. My wife backs up to a 250GB Maxtor One Touch disk ($50) by pushing 1 button on the disk. Apart from the ease of use, one is able to recognize the folders (they keep their original names) and not like Vista Backup that generates it's own names.
