I just saw this warning by Pat Cooke MVP on another thread. It seems to pertain only to Windows7, but I thought it was worth noting:

i don't know.

i have build 7100 and AVG 8.5 is a turtle and an elephant.

avast! seems to be getting blocked from getting it's update so i'm reinstalling avast! again.
