(Solved) - avast firewall

my avast firewall won't turn on no mater what i do it gives messages like firewall not available and unable to start firewall shield unreachable i have internet but i can't set the location to home work or public or turn the firewall on and hen i press the fix now nothing happens any thoughts or fixes

The Windows Firewall is perfectly good enough.

Assuming you are using windows .

disable windows firewall if it is on . then restart it

will the two firewall conflict with each other like two anti-viruses will??

If you want to do as iamgeek says, then make sure you are disconnected from the net when you do it.

If you are running avast firewall there is no need for windows firewall
Disable it check whether it solves your problem or not !

ok i think I'm good now knowing i don't need to worry about the avast firewall not working as long as I'm protected well enough with windows firewall
