Hi dragonwyck ,

Welcome to HTG ,

Take a look at :

1. http://www.alice.org/

2. http://hackety.com/

3. http://www.arduino.cc/

4. http://mindstorms.lego.com/en-us/Default.aspx

Some are software based others hardware based, but all is good for growth.
