Does anyone have any info on Auslogics BoostSpeed, good, bad or indifferent?

Looks like a piece of junk to me, and would not even consider installing it. If it were good, the geeks here would have known.

Ccleaner, W7 built-in defragger and Recuva just about covers what this does SAFELY. Auslogics is a good suite of tools (and those like it) for helping you to mess up your system. :)

The internet boosts etc are baloney and snake oil. Been there done that...

What you see after a clean install and defragged is as fast as your system can be if you need a reference.

Warlock

I bet you are not far wrong, in fact, if all apps within it were utilised I bet a reinstall would be in order after the registry got trashed. :)

jv16 PowerTools is Known Good Software. Been around for a long, long time.

It won't speed up your system but does clean it up the very well.

If it doesn't know what do with an item, then it will not Fix it and just leaves it alone.

Rick, I installed jv16 Power Tools as you said it is good software, it does clean the system very good. Is it worth buying the $39.95 version which I believe is a one time payment or is it annually?

One time payment with Version 2013 Free when released.

Many Tools.

Can't beat jv16 for reliability.

However, Don't use it on Windows 8 until new 2013 Version is released.
Let me be "The Goat" using older version(s) first .... (LOL)

The Platinum version is the one for $39.95, is that the one you would recommend?

YES I would recommend the Platinum version.
Includes free product upgrades for life!

That gives their development team a little cash plus You get more benefits.

I have to admit that shamefully I've broken their license agreement for many years and they still give me Free upgrades so KNOWING their software is darn good, I "Shill" for'um. :)

Okay, Thanks Rick, its great when EXPERTS like you find products that are very helpful to novices like me and recommend them along with advice on what to do when using those products. I have learned SO MUCH from all of you on HTG. I recommend this site to everyone I come in contact with. Thanks again.

I must say, I was not too happy with it, and I think, neither was Mike. But you'd have to ask him.
