hello friends,

i need to know how to install a particular open source software in linux in a single directory
e,g i want to install open source software asterisk1.8 in my ubuntu 12.04 OS in a single directory 'myastersiksetups' under my home directory
i know that when asterisk is completly installed it makes installation in different directory such as
/var/run
/var/log/ and many more

i want all such files under my directory 'myasterisksetup'
i.e not in default path.
how do it do it ???
