Have a (3) inch long by .5 inch wide vertical "squiggle" shadow in back of 22" Dell LCD screen on bench. Much like a liquid dribble (spillage) would make. NO dead pixels or back light problems. Just need to get into monitor enclosure and clean up what is causing "dribble" shadow mark. Don't see any screws. Figure it must be a press fit interlock assembly but can't find starting point to disassemble. Don't have Tech reference manual.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !!

Well ... I tried to "fix" one of my 19" flat screens once ... I took it all apart and I ended up breaking it beyond repair ... lol.

Have you tried looking up the manual on Dell's site? Or I imagine they would send you one if you asked.

mysticgeek,

Agree, probably would end up with broken pieces also (LOL) (LOL).

The guy will just have live with it as is.

Didn't look on Dell Site because I know what I'll find (LOL) (LOL).

It is hard enough just trying to get the motherboard manufacturer for one of their computer models.

The proprietary manufacturers know me by name and don't even put me on their mailing list much less would send me a Tech Reference Manual (LOL) (LOL).

However, use to could get all the Tech Manuals I needed from Sony and Samsung - Strange.
