antivirus programs

Iam a one year HP laptop user and my Norton yearly contract is coming up. Should I stay with Norton or use another anitvirus progam.
Help. Don

Norton 2008 seems to be pretty good (except for the firewall). Kaspersky, BitDefender and AVG are probably better. They also sometimes have "deals". Norton is heavy handed and if your PC is not very muscular, I recommend one of the others. See also this thread:

Probably You can take a look at one of our post where we compared 5 anti virus program. The performance was taken on a slow machine ( 92 mb ram ) so if you have more you can choose which is best for you

All are free antivirus

ashishmohta, I am curious what machine could possibly have 92MB of RAM?
This is a nice test - also some of the readers comments were informative. I will use it for further questions on antivirus - if that is OK with you.
